Love this! My boys are younger than yours and still have yet to show interest in particular activities beyond skating lessons but I am planning to learn their ‘thing’ alongside them when possible. I’m thinking rock climbing, snowboarding or backcountry camping/whitewater padding might be good fits for our family and area
Those activities sound so fun! I must say there were moments when I wished they were leaning into some calmer activities, and almost ordered barbies (KENs) and their cars so we could find common ground (barbies AND cars!) but now leaning into this has been so great for us all!!! They love it when I actually do the sport with them instead of just being a spectator. How old are your boys now?
PS. I think when my boys were that age I so wish I had leaned into the Scandinavian mindset of taking this easier, slower, with more emphasis on wellness and recharging (and be more focused and productive when you can be, because you are recharged, and happier rather than in survival mode) and not the hussle as hard as you can. I hope your life situation, and mindset, gives you breaks to recharge! I know what it's like with little boys that age! :-)
Dahlia! Thank you so much - and I can't wait to read your newsletter - feeding my kids is always another challenge! Have you heard of how Scandis do dinner with young kids? They just do evening oatmeal!
that sounds amazing! I wish I had realized when the oldest were really little that easiest meals that kids always like make going to bed with a full belly - without battles - so much more likely!!

Haha yes, it’s SO busy!
Wow, your two seem to have the same age difference than my first two: 18 months apart.
Thanks for sharing this, what a great read!
